Product support & ownership
Owning scope and requirements, reviewing designs, running user acceptance testing, and investigating what users report until engineering can fix it.
Product support & IT specialist, Calgary
I’m Sadisu Hassan. I’ve been the product owner on web and mobile apps, worked with product and engineering teams in Canada, Pakistan, Rwanda and Ghana, spent years on help desks and networks before that, and design and build websites like this one. A communications degree helps me turn what users report into clear next steps for engineers, and back again. I’m CompTIA A+ and Google IT Support certified.

Help desk and deskside support, hardware diagnostics and repair, and day-to-day administration of SaaS platforms, office systems and network storage.
LAN and WAN setup and troubleshooting, ISP and broadband support, and outside plant engineering on optical fibre projects, including on-call fault response.
Designing and building responsive websites in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, using React for interactive interfaces, Git for version control, and GitHub Pages with a custom domain for hosting.
At Paid Global I led operations for a mobile app that connects skilled workers with customers and jobs. The work ran across time zones, and my job was to keep product, engineering and the people using the app talking to each other.
Canada
Worked with the product team on scope, requirements and priorities, and brought user feedback from the field into planning.
Pakistan
Worked remotely with the engineers building the app, turning requirements into testable features and checking each release in user acceptance testing.
Rwanda
Travelled to Rwanda for training and ground work, onboarding skilled workers onto the app and seeing first-hand where it worked and where it didn’t.
Ghana
Before Paid Global, I was product owner at Hexagram in Accra, travelling abroad to work with international development partners.
From internet cafés in Accra to hospital sites across Calgary. The full history, with dates and hours, is in my résumé.

Defined the product scope and feature set with the team, reviewed every page of the design, and tracked development sprint by sprint. Ran user acceptance testing across the admin panel, web portal, and iOS and Android apps before launch.
Product team member, launch support
Worked with the product and development teams on scope, design reviews and testing, then with the business team to run the system in market.
At launch, buyers arriving from a client’s Instagram link were charged by mobile money but never received their QR tickets. I traced the pattern, logged each affected order and sent ticket codes by hand, and worked with engineering to stop the event page opening inside Instagram’s in-app browser.
